Darryl Spicer – Associate Youth Pastor

Darryl Spicer

Darryl Spicer

Don’t let the fact that Darryl has only graduated with a Bachelor of Ministries from Morling College in 2010 fool you; Darryl has been working with youth and young people in various Uniting and Baptist churches across New South Wales as well as working as a high school chaplain in the Blacktown area for the past 13 years. Darryl began his ministry here at Windsor District Baptist at the start of 2010, with responsibility for the youth, young adult and 6pm evening service ministries. Darryl’s main passion is to help lead those under his care towards a deep, genuine and abiding faith in Christ Jesus that is passionately lived out in radical obedience as Christ’s ambassadors in this world. Darryl is a man with very many hidden talents, such as fire twirling and making an awesome cup of coffee plus a few other things which he says will come out over time. Aside from his love of corny jokes, Darryl loves good coffee (well he is more of a coffee snob really), and it is even better shared during a conversation with good friends. Darryl also enjoys all sorts of music (except country and western), action movies, reading books, but most of all he loves Jesus. Darryl was married to Barbara in 2002 and they have two sons, Hayden, and Ethan. ’And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him’ Col 3.17
