WE NEED YOU!

WE NEED YOU! 〰️

One key lesson we’ve learnt during our time of evaluation is the importance of intergenerational engagement across our church. Everyone can play a part in our ministry to children! There will be a variety of roles. Please scan the QR code above or CLICK HERE to register a Volunteer Expression of Interest.

Church Quarterly Meeting Matters

  1. The video recording of last Sunday’s discussion had a technical issue and no audio was recorded. We apologise to those who wished to catch up with it at a later point.

  2. To see Pastor Jonathan’s presentation slides about our church VISION, and our PLAN FOR MINISTRY TO CHILDREN CLICK HERE

  3. Our consultation process has included:

    • Survey

    • Forum

    • Corinthian Conversation

    • Discussion at last Sunday’s Quarterly Church Meeting Part 1

  4. Key elements of our Plan have been formed as a result of this consultation:

    • Unity - we will worship on Sunday mornings as one family with everyone together for part of the service

    • Clarity - we will provide stage-based learning, with a targeted, purchased curriculum

    • Simplicity - we will facilitate a weekly handover from Ministry Team Leader to rostered volunteers

    • Inclusivity - we will prioritise intergenerational ministry, with an increased participation of all ages in our Sunday worship service

    • Flexibility - we will be willing to evaluate, try new strategies and will continue to offer the “family service” periodically.

  5. We are moving forward with a much better understanding of the needs of our children and families. We also have had opportunity for a profound change in our attitude to intergenerational engagement between people of all ages in our church. Nevertheless the time and general format of our ministry to children moving forward is largely unchanged since pre-Covid. Therefore we do not believe the church needs to vote on the Plan for Ministry to Children.

  6. However at Part 2 of our Quarterly Church Meeting on Sunday 19 June we will move to make a formal appointment of a Ministry Team Leader for Childrens’ Ministry.

If you have any questions or wish to talk further about this important ministry in our church please call me.

We believe that our Children will be transformed by God’s Word & God’s Holy Spirit for faith in Jesus Christ. Will you please join us in this journey.
