Here at WDBC we are committed to providing a safe place for people to come together to love God and love each other.
We have adopted the ‘Safe Church Policy’ to help us live out our biblical mandate to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbour as yourself.’ (Mark 12:30-31)
VOLUNTEER APPROVAL PROCESS
The graphics below illustrate the proceess of becoming a volunteer at WDBC. This has been purposefully designed by our Safe Church Team to ensure that everyone in our church family is safe and cared for in all areas of the WDBC community.

INTERVIEW Interview between volunteer & Ministry Team Leader to talk about experience, gifts etc.

APPLY Volunteer to complete required application forms

TRAINING Complete online module of 'Creating Safe Spaces' training (only if working with children)

WWCC Volunteer to obtain & submit a 'Working With Children Check' (only if working with children)

APPROVAL Forward volunteer's paperwork to Safe Church Team for approval

INDUCTION Volunteer to complete induction forms, which must be then forwarded to the Safe Church Team

WELCOME Volunteer can commence serving

END OF SERVICE Volunteer must notify Safe Church Team when ending their service
